Guest Comments and Ratings for Arenal Volcano Inn

"I have told everyone about this hotel. It was a beautiful view of the volcano, the food (breakfast was my favorite) and services were outstanding, The gardens were very peaceful. The only downside was that at the time we went the volcano had not erupted in quite some time and when it did it was on the other side of the volcano. The hotel staff helped us get a rental car delivered to our hotel so that we were able to drive around the area." Guest stayed Nov 2010

"We had the best rooms ever!!! The staff were like family and assisted us in everyway. Our waiter at the restaurant served as spanish tutor and even supplied us with fresh mangos on our last day when the restaurant was out! Where would that happen!!" Guest stayed Mar 2011

"Excellent hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Potentially a good view of the volcano (if the cloud had lifted!)" Guest stayed Feb 2011

"Great place to stay - staff were very service focused, grounds were beautiful maintained. The room was great. I am still amazed with the towel art - it was beautiful - we took pictures!" Guest stayed Apr 2011

"The staff at his hotel went above in helping. The internet access was great. The grounds were amazing, and the view was beautiful. thanks for the suggestion, Royner." Guest stayed May 2011

"This was the upgrade to our trip and it was a very well groomed and professional Inn. We were extremely pleased with this hotel. " Guest stayed May 2011

"The view each morning was breathtaking and the people were incredibly friendly. The only complaint would be that there was not much variety in the restaurant and it would be difficult to go into town just for meals. " Guest stayed Mar 2012

"Beautiful. The staff there is fantastic and so helpful. We would absolutely stay there again. Great value." Guest stayed Nov 2011

"LOVED it. The only slight glitch was the dining room. Breakfasts were fantastic, pizza outstanding (and this, coming from a Chicago family) but the dinner service was slow and food just ok. The room was excellent. Loved looking out the front window and seeing Arenal." Guest stayed Jul 2011

"Very nice...Clean room. Somewhat of a small room, but we hardly spent anytime in the room. I would stay there again simply for the food and the amazing staff. I spent my birthday while I stayed at the Volcano Inn. We wanted to go into the city and there were no cabs at that time of night. The staff at Volcano Inn were so kind and friendly to give us a ride into the city." Guest stayed Jul 2011

"Great Hotel, fantastic view, great service, good resaurant with breakfast included" Guest stayed Aug 2011

"Fabulous! The staff was very friendly, and addressed us as if they truly were interested in us and wanted to start a conversation to become friends, without being intrusive. The proximity to town and our excursions was great, and the location at the very base of Arenal Volcano was understated- Wow!" Guest stayed Nov 2011

"Fantastico hotel." Guest stayed Jul 2011

"Absolutely gorgeous! The views of the volcano from the room was amazing! " Guest stayed Aug 2011

"The staff were great, although the restaurant seemed to have some service inexperience - or something which caused very slow service sometimes. But the food was good and the attuitude of staff was great. The whole place was beautiful - I will highly recommend this hotel to others." Guest stayed Dec 2011

I can't say enough about the staff. we have traveled all over the world and have never met a kinder staff. they made our stay perfect. the grounds are so beautiful. the bungalows were the best. the view of the volcano from our window was breath taking." "Beautiful location and property. the staff was wonderful and genuinely friendly. One morning I arrived at the front desk and found my transport early and ready to go. the staff found a portable cup for coffee and sent me on my way. " Guest stayed Dec 2011

"We stayed at the Arenal Volcano Inn for three nights, we got room 109 which we believe was the best cabana at the resort since it had the best view of the Volcano. When we entered the room we felt like we were on a second honeymoon, it had the smell of fresh flowers, our towels folded into one big heart decorated with flower petals, the bathroom was very spacious and well lit and of course flower petals around the sink. The view of the Volcano was such a great sight to wake up to on mornings, it looked different everyday, our last day it was clear as day, just breathtaking!!! The staff were the best, they were very helpful, organised a couple tours for us and ask us when next they saw us if we had a great time. My camera got water in it and the maintenance guy went through his work shop to find a screwdriver so we could open it, we were able to dry it and got it working again, Arenal was our first stop, thanks to him we have great photos with great memories. Thanks alot to the Arenal Volcano Inn staff for making us feel at home." Guest stayed Oct 2011

"Great. Huge room, bathroom and kitchenette. Great staff and the food was delicious at the hotels restaurant." Guest stayed Mar 2012

"Hotel Arenal was so pretty and clean. The staff were so nice and helpful. I give the hotel a perfect 10!!!! " Guest stayed Nov 2011

"A lovely hotel. Opened our front door every morning to see (or not see, depending on the clouds) Arenal. The restaurant was wonderful and having breakfast included was an added plus - and the tropical fruit really set us for for the day ahead. We had a wonderful waiter at the restaurant whose name we can't remember, but he made every meal special. The hotel desk was always ready to help with setting up excursions and had great ideas for activities. The pool was a little small but the hot tub and the surroundings more than made up for it!" Guest stayed Jan 2012

"This simple little hotel actually was a fantastic value because of the quality of lthe staff and the food at the restaurant was above expectations. Jordan in lthe restaurant was like a grandson by the time we left. The front desk heped us with lthe internet and despite never seeing lthe volcano because of the rain , we can't wait to get back to your wonderful lilttle city." Guest stayed Dec 2011

"I had a fantastic room here and great service from everyone at the hotel" Guest stayed Jan 2012

"In all my travels to South & Central America, and Asia, this is by far the best hotel I have stayed in Period. I had my own cabin with a kitchen area. The room opened up to the Arenal Volcano. The bathrooms were really clean. The complimentary breakfast was superb. If you stay here, you have to try the fresh fruit juice they serve at the breakfast bar. It was perfection! " Guest stayed Mar 2012
