Comments and Ratings for Rafting en el río Toro, clase III-IV

"We were very happy with the tour company, Wave Expeditions. This was our favorite activity of the trip." Jan 2011

" Overall experience was one of our biggest thrills. Best Whitewater Trip I've ever been on We had a great guide and we tamed the "Bull". Not for the faint of heart but I would recommend it to everyone." Dec 2010

"Because of the lack of water, we had to go to a different river than was originally planned. However, this was not an issue as our guides were fun and the trip to and from Arenal to the river and back was interesting. The time on the river was a BLAST!!!!! and our guides were nice to look at as well as being expert and careful." May 2011

"Beautiful tour down the river. Easy rapids as the water was extremely low. But it made for a great day." Apr 2011

"So much fun!" Mar 2011

"El mejor de todos, fue el que mas me gusto de todos los tours. Excelente en TODO!" Dec 2011

" I can't even describe how wonderful the rafting trip was. It made the whole trip worth while. There staff was wonderful and we felt very safe the whole time.. Would recommend the adventure to anyone. My only suggestion to those that are out of shape is to leave a day between this and the Canyon Trekking. My body was sore and tired the next day and a days break between the two adventures would have been nice. Everyone needs to do this!" Jul 2011

"Excellent guys running this tour. We had a great time." Jul 2011

"Loved his sense of humor and knowledge of rafting. I especially appreciated when he pulled my husband BACK into the raft after he was thrown out in the rapids. This could have ruined the trip, but it didn't. Our guide did a great job showing he had it "all under control", allowing us to relax." Jul 2011

"Highlight of the trip. Even though the Toro river was not available that day, the rafting experience was great." Aug 2011

"Our guide Jose was GREAT! We had a great time, would do it again and will recommend it to others. " Jul 2011

"The river we were originally to go on was marginal due to the timing of water release from the dam up stream so they drove us further to another river that was fantastic. Really appreciate them going literally the extra mile(s) to assure we had a good experience." Sep 2011

"Soooooooo gooooooood. I have never rafted before and I loved it. The staff were VERY professional, funny, and sincerely cared for our safety. I would recommend this to anyone who isn't faint of heart or scared of water....I fell in and it was no big deal at all! This will give any first-timer a definite rush at various points! Thumbs up!" Aug 2011

"It's a bit more wild than in the states. "Riding the bull" and boucing around made it the most exciting raft trip we've been on even though the level is the same as those we've done in the Smoky Mountains and Colorado. Be prepared." Oct 2011

"One of the best experiences of the trip - great guides, great value, great fun, pura vida!" Nov 2011

"The BEST experience of the trip! GERALD was absolutely fantastic! He introduced us to 'Tipica' Sauce, which I bought an brought back to the states! yum yum!" Nov 2011

"Awesome...way more intense than Colorodo rafting!!! A must in Costa Rica. " Nov 2011

"Unfortunately, due to the river conditions, we were not able to raft on the Rio Toro River since the water level was too high. We rafted on the Sarapique river instead, but the rafting company did a great job in making sure we were aware of the change in plans and made sure we agreed to the changes. This tour was still one of the highlights of this trip." Dec 2011

"Awesome!!!! And very professional, and friendly" Jan 2012
