The top floor of Casa Casi Cielo (which translates as the “Almost Heaven House”) contains the communal areas. Open and expansive, this floor includes the living room, dining room and kitchen. The living room has comfortable wicker furniture, a cable TV, and sliding glass doors that open onto a large covered balcony. The balcony is set with a table and chairs and hosts a fantastic view of the Manuel Antonio National Park.
Just around the corner from the living room is the dining room and kitchen. Featuring stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, the kitchen is an enjoyable place to prepare meals. If, however, you’d prefer to leave the cooking to someone else, that’s fine—professional chef services can easily be arranged. A four-person breakfast bar hugs one side of the kitchen – a spot that’s perfect for the morning’s coffee and crosswords – and just beyond this is a dining room table with seating for eight.
The three bedrooms are set one level down. These are decorated simply and have high ceilings and tile floors. Each enjoys its own hot water bathroom, 29-inch cable TV, and air conditioning unit. The master suite features a king size bed and spacious private balcony with dramatic ocean views. The junior suite has a queen size bed, while the third bedroom is fitted with two full beds and two lofted beds.
Guests can cool off in the home’s private swimming pool, which has excellent views of both the forest and ocean. A waterfall pours into one side, while the opposite edge hosts an in-pool sitting area. Read a favorite story while relaxing in one of the poolside chairs or enjoy evening cocktails on the balcony.
